I’d heard that Amazon was testing some models to study the feasibility of creating a brick and mortar retail store. It looks like Amazon found a model that worked and will be putting a serious dent into the business of Walmart, Target, the grocery business and most other retail stores. The first Amazon Go, a 1,800-square-foot retail store will open in Seattle this year and will offer ready-made meals and some grocery basics. Contrary to a Wall Street Journal report, Amazon has no plans to open 2,000 stores… yet.
